PELO CANO
Pelo Cano comprises small situations where both clowns reveal their way to interact with the world, generally in a ridiculous and catastrophic manner. In the scenes, they use everyday objects, such as money, crepe tape, a sink siphon. They work with them in different ways that diverge from their daily and utilitarian use, revealing the maladjustment of clowns to life, their biased way to resolve situations and their gift to transform reality. Those objects reveal new spaces and they emit sounds that integrate to the songs performed live by the clowns. A clown’s performance delivers poetry and laughing to attendants of all ages.
REVIEW – Valmir Santos -(Teatrojornal - 12/2014 )}
The inseparable red nose leaves no doubts about its origin, but actresses Paola Musatti and Vera Abud make of Pelo Cano a pleasant and well measured confluence of circus performance and theatrical elements. Their clowns Emily and Manela are depositary of comic figures, increased with the performing touch of the experience of at least two decades of trade. The script of frustrating and hilarious situations, meticulously bundled by the eminent couple from the improvisation school – their curricula arise comments in those games – make cristalline everything that is taken seriously in the game.
